I'm real proud of this one!

UI of AWS sign-up screens

It's never been easier to get started using AWS

We simplified the sign-up experience for new AWS devs by introducing social login, reducing 40% of steps, and automating a best-practice environment from the start, allowing devs to to configure less and deploy faster.

IT Admins rejoice!

UI container used AWS user permissions

Auditing enterprise-level user permissions used to take hours…now it takes minutes

We reduced auditing and troubleshooting times by 80% (from hours to minutes) by replacing a single-page auditing workflow with a contextual integrated widget, surfacing data where admins naturally look for it.

What if GIMP was a modern design software for both professionals and hobbyists?

Design Systems

Information Architecture

I'm working on a complete overhaul for the open source image editing tool GIMP. Architecture rework, visual UI refresh, a new design system, and a major investigation of the current UX.

This project has been quite the undertaking but has already taught me a ton about production level design systems and how open-source technical stacks play a big role in it's ability to have robust UI.

UI of volume knob showing current volume

Installing a giant screen in my old car & coding a custom volume dial to go with it

Mechanics

Electronics programming

I breathed new life into my trusty car, a Mitsubishi Endeavor, by giving it the tech upgrade it always deserved. A full 11.5" touchscreen + backup and dash cams.

Only problem is that it lacks physical inputs, the buttons and dials that make car dashboards intuitive while on the road. So I decided i'd install my own custom volume dial with a screen and make a custom interface for it.

How I'd describe my design ethos

Ethical & Justice-Led

Design is never neutral. I approach every project with an awareness of equity, systemic impact, and user agency. I actively reject dark patterns, protect user atonomy, and ensure products serve people fairly rather than exploiting them for short-term metrics.

Accessible

Inclusivity isn't a feature to audit at the end; it's a core opportunity from day zero. I build with universal and human-first design standards and regulations ensuring my experiences are effortless for everyone, regardless of ability or device.

Intentional Delight

Functional doesn't have to mean sterile. I love to incorporate thoughtful micro-interactions, playful details, and subtle moments of joy that make digital products feel alive and human without ever compromising clarity or speed.

Craft & Rigor

Great design lives in the details. From responsive layout grids and tokenized design systems to graceful handling of error states and edge cases, I hold a high bar for polish, performance, and structure every time I deliver something.

Deep Curiosity

Beautiful visuals are meaningless if they don't solve the right problem. I root my work in deep inquiry and learning, untangling complex workflows, streamlining cognitive load, and creating clear, functional paths out of complicated requirements.

I'm happiest at work when...

  • I'm encouraged to embrace creativity and allowed to learn and be curious
  • I have a seat at the table with other stakeholders, working together to discover the right path forward
  • There is clear communication about priorities and leadership goals
  • I get to collaborate with other smart people on solving tough problems
  • Work culture embodies healthy boundaries so I can still live my life to the fullest
